Agree, 100%.

I've seen feature flags used many times as an excuse for, frankly, doing 'proper' software engineering.

Most usually by people who think they know better than everyone else how things should be done or that traditional methods just aren't good enough for them.

In my opinion it's lazy and risky development that's easily avoided by actually knowing what you're doing.
