An interesting perspective, but when push to comes to shove and a company is circling the drain due to management ineptness it’s always the workers at the coal face who’re given their cards first.

Middle to low management, generally, are surplus to requirements in the software engineering world but still manage to hang on through beyond any workers that actually benefit the company as a whole.
