Aside from the fact, as noted elsewhere in the comments, that watching any developer's screen in no way correlates to their productivity this to me is a gross violation of both trust and privacy.

Accepting any such ridiculous monitoring just encourages insecure companies and their management in these nefarious practices.

Good on you for turning them down.
