I found both Mastodon and Bluesky to be empty spaces and quickly ran out of of both things to read and people to follow. The most popular conversations seem to be about how lovely it is but I don't always equate silence with beauty.

I'll stick with X / Twitter because it's a bit of a roller coaster and because it's actually got a vibrant if sometimes aggressive population. It's alive.

You're absolutely right about platform fatigue - if I hear about another "Twitter killer" I swear I'll scream.
