I suppose the point of the article is to highlight the ridiculousness of terms being taken from technical fields and mutated into meaningless soundbites, by management, in order to sound well informed, knowledgeable, and able to make actual technical decisions.

Alas, very unfortunately, the operation of a humble kitchen toaster is the level of technical expertise that's usually encountered in the laminated world of project management.

Yes, I was aware of ping - but I'm afraid that it's too much of a stretch to ping a recruiter, project manager, or even a middle-manager - the nature of their density would preclude the signal being able to be reflected back...
