I think one of the worst things is HR continually emphasising the need for ‘social contact’ amongst the workforce for our wellbeing.
At home we have families, sharers, neighbours, pets, and the ability to walk/cycle/drive around our local area and interact with people that we don’t actually work with — which, to be honest, is an absolute joy.
I get far more pleasure heading down the local Spar for a coffee and croissant than I ever did trying to stuff down an overly expensive, frankly quite badly made sandwich in a specified time slot, with a bunch of people I’d never choose to spend any time with if given the chance.
What next, I wonder, what next?
