I use Obsidian all the time and find it incredibly useful - if you don't fall into the trap of trying to install every plugin and try to make it into something it's not.

Keep it simple, use tags, use backlinks, but don't obsess over it otherwise you'll spend all of your time organising and rearranging instead of thinking.

Notion is just too complex, Obsidian (if you don't tinker all the time) is simple.
