I wonder sometimes if anyone in the company is aware of how many people were promoted away from jobs they loved, jobs they could do, or jobs that were never replaced.

It’s as if a company enters premature senescence when it becomes top heavy with ineffective or irrelevant management that are either hiding away afraid of discover or waiting to quit and get a job doing what they were doing previously, but at another company.
