I'd agree with that - anything that triggers negativity between staff and managment is a bad thing.

It might just be the inadequacy of planning from management, or them just not looking after their employees.

From what I've seen when employees leave it tends to come as a shock to management and they wonder why. Then it's primarily because management never took the time to talk to their people, find out how they're doing, or at least find out if they're happy doing what they're doing.

Retaining good people takes effort and I don't see many companies putting that in - they just think free snacks, 'unlimited' leave, and massage chairs do the job... They don't.
