It feels surreal to be in many interviews these days — the same old questions, the same old tired cookie cutter replies, the interviewer ticking the same old dreary boxes as they fight to stay awake.

Then, if you say the right thing and your face fits (i.e. you pass the ‘culture fit’ charade), you eventually get to participate in a beauty pageant as you’re paraded through departments where you finally get to meet the technical people you might work with.

That is one broken system.
