It's as if social media has become a rat race in itself, sucking us in, forcing us to produce to compete.

Reminds me of the old adage 'even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat'.

You're better off out of it, LinkedIn in a dreadful self-serving vacuous place and the less we all have to dip into it the better.
