It's not that really, it's more "progressive" in the way Harald Baldr (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKr68ZJ4vv6VloNdnS2hjhA/videos) describes in his videos as he makes his way around the world.
In the same way as I refer to software engineering as 'the great game' I like to think we're 'progressive engineers' - kind of - we like a challenge, we have mountains to climb because they're 'just there', we're always going to 'do the right thing' like a Victorian age British explorer when faced with adversity. Know what I mean?
If anything it's me who relies too much on cultural capital!
