I've been in offices where people have Teams calls with each other while sitting next to each other, after having been told they must come into an office.

Needless to say the people who 'ordered' them back into the office still primarily work remotely too.

Most of them left after a few weeks of that nonesense.

It's the online meeting equivalent of meetings that "could have been an email".
