On one hand working for a corporate outfit really does make you a cog in a big machine and by taking their coin you're just perpetuating their existence.

As a software engineer I do dream of doing great things, still, but have never really found that in any large company.

Small companies really do offer a better experience in terms of thinking you're at least making some different - that and less dreary politics - and I really, really hate being told what to do. Perhaps I'm a stereotype.
