The Charade of COP28

Smoke, mirrors, and false promises.

It’s the height of naivety to assume that the petrostates of the world would deliberately agree to the decimation of their economies and impoverishment of their people, let alone their rulers.

The world depends on fossil fuel whether we like it or not and the only way to displace it isn’t to entertain false promises or to deliberately make populations cold, hungry, and angry either.

We live in a world dominated by money, and those that have accrued large amounts of it, therefore the only way to remove fossil fuel is to find something cheaper, less polluting, and easily available.

It’s electricity, and it needs to be generated cheaply and at scale.

The answer is nuclear power, massive investment now for a better world longer term and not to be continually constrained by election cycles or disinformation.
