The software industry has become diluted at the lower end because of the low barrier to entry leading to a situation where 'programmer's' inability and the usual management incompetence go hand in hand extending projects into the distance, blowing all of the money on unnecessary tools and processes, and making us actual programmers throw up our hands and jump out of the nearest window.

If it wasn't so surreal it'd be quite depressing!
