These are my feelings exactly. Throughout a recent round of interviews I’ve dug a little into people’s pasts, let them sell themselves, then steer them toward showing me what they know. It’s so much better to go that way, then perhaps drill down on a few specifics through a more technical chat than give them yet another boring rote test.
