They were around a long time, from the late 60s to 80s, but they had a very distinctive shape didn’t they? Everybody seemed to want one, even if the only one they could afford was a 10 year old rust bucket with stripes!

Bit like the TR7 or MR2.

I met a ‘team leader’ who’d restored an MR2 once (1990s) but he was so tall he had to wedge himself in and out of it every day. A crowd used to gather in the canteen to watch the daily fun.
