Working from home isn't a privilege, it's something that's been a long time coming - trusting employees to do their work without constant surveillance.

I can say, without doubt, that in software engineering I've never seen anyone disadvantaged by being a remote worker.

The time of 'extra effort' in terms of endless unpaid commuting, constantly going 'above and beyond', and sitting on a chair in someone else's office is firmly over.
