Yup, I know all that — but the planning to charge at home, not being able to nip out without having sufficient charge, the dearth of affordable and in-service charging stations is what I’m highlighting.
(You omit to mention you have to leave it plugged in all night and not use it for it to be fully charged in the morning)
As I mentioned due to the high electricity prices in the UK, for example, and the profiteering involved with the captive market of public charging points, fuel costs are approaching parity. Why would I buy a more expensive EV when I can remain with my ICE if fuel costs are the same? If that’s the case I’d be throwing my money away.
